Insane mode and boss waves

Open Insane with Scientist, max one carry, and treat an unfinished Engineer as a blocker rather than your damage plan.

Insane is a cash puzzle. The waves get thicker, a leak ends the run, and the only tempo that matters is how fast you turn match cash into an upgraded carry.

Open with economy, then one carry

The standard start in the October strategy notes is Scientist, then Plunger. Max the Scientist before you widen the board. That unit is also described as the unlock for placing Engineer Cameraman.

Then feed one damage carry. In the October 10 pool the named carries are Glitch Cameraman, Upgraded Brute Prototype, and Upgraded Videotapper Prototype. A maxed carry beats four mid-level ones. Upgrade before you place wider.

A different Insane walkthrough opens with Ninja Cameraman, adds Scientists after the opener is attacking, and spends about 8,500 match cash to finish a Titan Cameraman, with the last upgrade doubling that Titan's damage. Use that number only as the cost in that demonstration. Other cards print a different max DPS for Titan Cameraman, so do not treat 8,500 as a universal price.

Engineer is two units until it is maxed

Read both reports before you sell your opener to place one:

  • One walkthrough says the pre-max levels spawn blocking helpers and do not deal damage. At maximum, helpers are reported at 3,000 damage per second, with a new helper about every 20 seconds, and anti-parasite vehicles around 100,000 HP.
  • Another October note says one maxed Engineer fights like a Titan Cameraman, two of them take a boss toilet, and 333 copies existed at that check. It also calls Engineer a rare Scientist Crate result.

If you can reach the maximum state in the run, Engineer belongs on the hottest tile after the opener works. If the match will end first, keep the affordable attacker. An unfinished Engineer is not the carry.

What the late waves are

Threat What the notes say Answer
Boss toilet Tanky single target Two maxed Engineers, or the carry up close
Infected speaker titan Slow boss-tier push. One Insane walkthrough places Infected Titan Speakerman at wave 49 Sustained damage, already upgraded
G Toilet 3.0 / Boss Toilet 3 Late wall. The same walkthrough puts the final boss at wave 50 Everything maxed, on one chokepoint
Toilet packs, including spider toilets after October 10 Numbers, not one health bar Area damage: Speaker Woman, Upgraded Brute Prototype, or a spider unit

That walkthrough also flags boss pressure around wave 21, then waves 35 and 40, as Insane checkpoints. Those wave numbers are from one demonstrated run. Do not paste them onto Easy or onto a mode your vote screen names differently.

Single-target damage moves a boss bar. Area damage deletes the pack around the boss. A board with only one of those loses to the other shape.

Before you vote Insane

  • Scientist is placed first and maxed before the mid-run bosses.
  • One carry is chosen and fed.
  • An area unit sits on the map's main intersection.
  • Engineers, or the Plunger line if you do not own one, cover the boss lane.
  • Skip or 2x speed is optional comfort, not a substitute for the carry.
  • Quests can run in the background once you have 20 wins. They pay gems, not the match cash this plan spends.

If the same wave keeps killing you, it is usually the pack walking past the boss-killers, or a second lane with an empty tile. Change one of those on the next attempt. Changing the map, the loadout, and the upgrade order together hides which fix worked.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Cameraman Tower Defense free?

Yes. Matches cost nothing. Robux is optional and buys coin bundles, a mythic pack, a 2x speed pass, and skip passes. Coins for summons also come from wins, a one-time group reward, and codes.

Who makes the game?

Aligators Games, the Roblox group credited on the experience, with aibat303e and iop_dev named in the description. This wiki is not run by them.

How do I start a match?

In the lobby, step onto a match platform. The official description says that starts a match. Then place a Cameraman or another unit you own where it can hit the toilets, and beat the waves.

Are Coins and match cash the same?

No. Coins are the lobby currency for summons, crates, and code rewards. Match cash is what you spend during a wave on placement and upgrades. A crate purchase does not pay the upgrade cost of the unit you pulled.

Does the X2 in the title double damage?

The public title still includes X2, and one October guide describes a double-coins counter on the match HUD. That is not a damage multiplier, and the game page does not publish a rate. Read the live counter before you plan a farm.
