Scientist earns bonus cash during the wave and is the unit October strategy notes place first. Maxing it is described as the requirement before you can place Engineer Cameraman. No standalone DPS card was published for it. Its value is the cash, not a boss kill.

Coin summon. Associated with the Scientist Crate that was live before the October crate rework.
How do you use Scientist?
Place Scientist, then a cheap body such as Plunger, and max Scientist before you spend the board on extra starters. On a first Easy win you can skip it. On Insane it is the plan.
